Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2018 Lincoln MKZ- Video
Hi, everyone, it's Evangeline here, and today we're gonna be taking a look at the Kuat Sherpa 2.0 for inch and a quarter hitch receivers. And we're going to see how it fits here on our 2018 Lincoln MKZ. The Sherpa is gonna be a very versatile platform rack, and in my opinion, a really good fit for our little Sedan here. Because you have a lot of stability of the rack, meaning that your bikes are gonna be transported safely and securely, but also because of how it's designed, it can carry bikes to different shapes and sizes. You also have all the premium features you would expect from a Kuat rack, like how this tilts away and folds up to you nice and compact. The first thing we're gonna do is we're gonna tilt this rack away. more

Saris MHS 2 Bike Rack Review - 2022 Lincoln Navigator- Video
Hi, everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today, we'll be taking a look at how the Saris MHS 2-Bike Platform Rack fits on the 2022 Lincoln Navigator. So the MHS is a super heavy-duty bike rack, which also has a design that makes it super easy to add on another tray, so it's kind of a modular system. But we're gonna focus on how it fits with the Navigator, and one of the main things with this is it is heavy, and the tilt isn't that far for our large hatch on our car. I'll show you what you mean, or I'll show you what I mean. We'll pull this lever here, and we'll drop it down to a tilt, and then, we're gonna open up the hatch. Now, I do have my mountain bike here, and it does have 29 inch long handle bars. more

Saris SuperClamp EX 2 Bike Rack Review - 2022 Lincoln Navigator- Video
Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today, we'll be taking a look at how the Saris SuperClamp EX 2-Bike Platform Rack fits on the 2022 Lincoln Navigator. The SuperClamp is a popular bike rack, because it has a great weight capacity, it's relatively lightweight, it has a cable lock, and it tilts away, so it has pretty much all those premium features, but there are some downsides too, especially with the Navigator like how high the hitch is, so let's talk about that. Starting with the tilt away, you have this large lever which you pull, and then you can drop this down to a tilt. If you have your 60 pound bikes up there, that might be a little tricky, 'cause that can get pretty heavy, but it's nice to know that you can tilt this whole rack away with the bikes on and you still have clearance with your very large hatch door. If you have your waters in here, your helmets, or your backpacks, this makes a lot more convenient, you can also just hang out and switch out your shoes while your bikes are on the rack, and then when you're done, you just close the door, you can see that clearance again right there. And I recommend holding onto the rack to support it as you lift up, it snaps into place, and you're ready to drive. more

Saris Freedom Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Lincoln Navigator- Video
Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today, we'll be taking a look at how the Saris Freedom 2-Bike platform Rack fits on the 2022 Lincoln Navigator. The Saris Freedom is good if you want a lightweight bike rack that also has a heavy weight capacity. There are some downsides to this like it's limited when it comes to tire size as well as what types of bikes you can fit on this, so we'll focus on that as well as how well it fits on the Navigator. If you need to open up your hatch, you are gonna have to take the bike off, because this rack does not tilt away, that's how it gets that heavy weight capacity of 60 pounds per bike. Now, the way this holds down the bike though is you do have three touch points, one and two are going to be your wheel straps. The maximum tire width you can carry with this is gonna be up to 2.25 inch wide tires, so it's kinda limited. more

Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer. And today we'll be talking about how the Swagman Current two-bike platform rack fits on the 2022 Lincoln Navigator. So this is gonna be a way to get an affordable bike rack that still has a heavy weight capacity for those heavy electric bikes, plus you can tilt it away. Now this does have some downsides to it too when paired with a Lincoln Navigator or some recommended add-ons, and that's what we'll talk about. Starting with a tilt away feature you have this sprite green lever which you pull and then let the entire thing drop down to a tilt. So even with your bike's on, you can quickly tilt the rack away and you have plenty of clearance to open up the big hatch door on our Navigator. more

Hey, it's Ethan here at etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the RockyMounts MonoRail hitch bike rack, and how it fits on our 2022 Lincoln Navigator. It's a two-bike platform-style bike rack, capable of supporting two bikes up to 60 pounds each. Making contact with our bike, and holding it primarily by this wheel hook here, and one additional strap to that back, so it doesn't make any frame contact with our bike at all, which is nice, because if we have a carbon frame bike, we can take it on without having any worries about damages. If we have an alternative frame style bike, or just like a really nice paint job, for whatever reason, doesn't make any frame contact, but still has a secure hold on the bike rack. One of the really nice features that this rack offers, is the ability for it to tilt away with the bike loaded. more

The on-ramp is a two-bike platform style bike rack, capable of supporting up to 66 pounds per bike. Yakima FullTilt Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Lincoln Navigator- Video
Hey, it's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima full tilt bike rack and how it fits on our 2022 Lincoln Navigator. It is a hanging style bike rack, capable of supporting up to five bikes, at 150 pounds total. It's going to hold our bikes primarily by the top tube on the frame, using these two zip strips. And one more here as an anti-sway to cut down on some of that side to side movement. So it does make frame contact and in the event that you want to use this rack with some carbon frame bikes, we don't recommend it, 'cause it could damage the frame. more

Hollywood Racks Destination E Bike Rack Review - 2022 Lincoln Navigator- Video
Hey, it's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Destination E hitch bike rack and how it fits on our 2022 Lincoln Navigator. The Destination E is a two-bike platform style bike rack capable of supporting up to 70 pounds per bike, so definitely good for those e-bikes. And it's gonna hold onto our bike primarily by this frame clamp here and three straps down at the bottom. A nice feature that this rack offers is the ability for it to tilt away with the bikes loaded up. So we'll loosen up this hand knob here on the backside, push that forward, and then using this center mast here, we can push it down, and it tilts really aggressively, which is nice, 'cause it's a pretty large bike. more

Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE 2 Electric Bike Platform Rack Review - 2022 Lincoln Navigator- Video
Hey, it's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Hitch Bike Rack, how it fits on our 2022 Lincoln Navigator. Sport Rider SE is a two-bike platform style bike rack capable of supporting two bikes up to 80 pounds each, held primarily on the frame by these frame hooks and two additional straps at the back, or the one in the back and one in the front. So if you do have a carbon frame bike, we don't recommend using this type of bike rack 'cause it could damage the frame while you're driving. And alternative frame bikes should work, 'cause the hooks do go down all the way but that might be something to look out for. The bike rack does offer the ability to tilt away with the bikes loaded, which is a nice feature, but we found that with the Navigator and this bike that we have, it doesn't tilt far enough to get into the back. more

Thule Hitching Post Pro Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Lincoln Navigator- Video
Hi everyone, Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Thule Hitching Post Pro hanging style bike rack and seeing how it fits on the back of our 2022 Lincoln Navigator. Like I said, this is gonna be a hanging style bike rack which means the bike is held up here by the frame hanging down below the bike rack. We've got two points of contact up top in the form of these rubber straps, stretching over the frame holding it down in the deep cradles, with a third one on the side, limiting our side to side movement helping with bike to bike contact. There is still some movement there but this does do a pretty good job, especially compared to other hanging style racks at limiting that movement. And I will say this is a very entry level hanging style bike rack, so there's not a whole lot of features with this, but if you're looking for something simple, this could be a possible solution. more

So, first impression of the rack up on the back of the Lincoln, you know, I think it looks all right. it's a really convenient way to carry around a couple of bikes, that way you can keep them outside of your MKT and keep it nice and comfortable on the inside for all your other passengers. You know with that said, this does a pretty good job of keeping everything held down and secure. If I move this around, the rack has a little bit of movement in it there, but that's pretty typical, no movement at all where your bike is though. more

Thule T1 1-Bike Platform Rack Review - 2020 Lincoln MKZ- Video
Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2020 Lincoln MKZ we're going to be checking out the Thule T1 platform style bike rack. So first impression of the rack on the back of the MKZ, I think it looks really good actually, about as good as it can look, you know, these Lincolns are really nice vehicles and so you don't want to put, you know, a junkie rack on the back of it and Thule is anything but that, you know, they make really well-made products. And so I think it is a great pairing or match up with the MKZ. With that said, you know, this is going to hold a single bike and it's a little different, you know, you don't see a ton of bike racks at whole, just a bike. And so it's pretty convenient if you're needing to carry one around, you know, you can throw it on the rack as opposed to, you know, your other options, which a lot of times include dealing with the roof rack. more

Now our camber is going to allow us to take up to four bikes with us, so we can hit the trail with some friends or some family members.The way the bike rack is going to hold our bikes secure, is it's going to have three attachment points. Two on the cross tube, then we'll have one on the vertical support. Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 Lincoln MKC- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2016 Lincoln MKC we're doing a test fit of the Swagman G10 Platform Style 2 Bike Rack. That part number is S64682. Now we already have our bike secured down, we're going to start off with one of the key features, and that's going to be back here at our black lever. If we pull on that we're able to tilt our bike rack away from our vehicle with our bikes fully loaded. In this position we are going to gain full access into our back hatch area to get anything in or out that we may need.What's great about this is that we don't have to worry about removing our bikes or our bike rack just to gain this access. You'll see there's plenty of room to stand in between the two as well. more

Today on our 2016 Lincoln MKX we're going to be doing a test fit on the Hollywood Racks Trail Rider Platform Style 2-Bike Rack, that's part number HR200. I've already got it loaded up just to give you a good idea of what it looks like and how it's going to hold our two bikes. It actually secures our bikes with three points of contact. We have this padded frame hook here going over our top tube, putting down pressure on our bike and to our front and rear cradles. Then we've got a wheel strap, so not a bad way to carry your two bikes. Let's go ahead and take our bike off. I'll show you a few neat ideas that this bike has. It's a little bit different whereas when we raise up our frame hook, we can actually pull ut the pin here, tilt the center mast away from us, which makes it way easier to remove that first bike. more

It's a really nice feature, especially if you're working with a carbon fiber bike. Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 Lincoln MKX NV22B- Video
Today on our 2016 Lincoln MKX, we're going to be doing a test fit in the Kuat NV 2.0 Platform-Style Two-Bike Rack. That's part number NV22G. I've already got it loaded up just to give you a good idea of what it looks like and how it's going to hold our two bikes. It actually holds our two bikes with zero frame contact. That's a really nice feature, especially if you're carrying like a carbon fiber bike. One of its best features is it has the ability to tilt away with bikes loaded so we can gain access to our rear hatch. The way that's done, we've got a lever here in the center. We're going to pull that towards us, tilt it outward until it rests, and then as you can see, we're going to have more than enough room to open that rear hatch to remove any cargo, gear, or groceries, anything we might have with us on our trip. Now this bike rack you might notice, it's a little bit nicer than most. more

Today on our 2016 Lincoln MKX, we're going to be doing a test fit on the Thule T2 Pro XTB Platform Style 4 Bike Rack. That's part number TH9034XT-9036XT. I've already got it loaded up on the Lincoln just to give you a good idea of what it looks like and how it's going to hold our four bikes. It actually holds our four bikes with no frame contact, so that's a really nice feature if you have a carbon fiber bike, but one of its best features is it has the ability to tilt away from our Lincoln with all four bikes loaded, so we can gain access to our rear hatch, and that can be done with our easy-to-use handle here at the back, so we're just going to squeeze it, and then drop it down. That's nice that the handle's at the back. Saves us the trouble from having to tilt it down here at the front. As you can see we can open up our rear hatch. We've got plenty of room between our rear hatch and our handle bars. more

All right today, on this 2007 Lincoln MKX, we're going to do a test fit of part number Y02433 from Yakima; this is their Hold up 2 Bike Rack. Okay one thing you know about this bike rack is that it's designed for two-inch receiver hitches only. Now we'll start off our test fit by installing the bike rack into the hitch, then we'll go ahead and install the anti-rattle bolt then put the lock on the other side. All right, with the bike rack installed, we can go ahead and get some clearance measurements. At its closest point from the bicycle rack to the bumper, we're looking at three quarters of an inch. All right, now we'll go ahead and unfold the bike rack and get one more measurement. more

One thing to know about this bicycle rack, that it is designed for two-inch receiver hitches only. Now we'll start off our test fit by installing the bike rack into the hitch, then we'll go ahead and tighten down the anti-rattle bolt. With the bike rack installed, now we can go ahead and get some clearance measurements. From the security cable loop to the bumper, we're looking at a clearance of half an inch. Ground clearance is going to be 11 1/2 inches. more

Few things to know about this bicycle carrier, that it will work inch and a quarter receiver hitches both class one and class two. However, when using it with a class one hitch, you're limited to just carrying just two bicycles. Now this will also work with a two-inch receiver hitch with the included spacer and that's what we're working with today. Now we'll start off our test fit by installing the bike rack into the hitch, we'll make sure that the integrated hitch pin is secured into the hitch pin hole and that--we'll go ahead and tighten down the anti-rattle device. Okay with the bike rack installed, we'll go ahead and get some clearance measurements. more

Alright, today on this 2007 Lincoln MKX were going to do a test fit of part #: A30901 from Sport Rack. Alright, a few key notes to know about this bike rack that it will work with inch and a quarter receiver hitches, both class 1 and class 2. Now this will also work with 2 inch receiver hitches with the included spacer and on this vehicle well be working with a 2 inch receiver hitch. Now well go ahead and start off by installing the bike rack into the hitch, well tighten down the anti-rattle bolt and install the safety clip on the other side. Alright, next well go ahead and unfold the bike rack and get some clearance measurements. From the bike rack to the bumper were looking at a distance of 7 inches. more

Thule Vertex 4 Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2010 Lincoln MKX- Video
Today on our 2010 Lincoln MKX, well be test fitting the Thule Vertex 4 Bike Carrier, part number TH9029.Quick note on this bike rack: you can use it with 1 -inch or 2-inch hitches, class 1 through class 3. Although, when using the class 1 hitch, you are limited to two bikes. With our vehicle equipped with the 2-inch hitch and our bike rack already pre-assembled, were ready to go ahead and fit it to the vehicle. Well start by inserting the bike rack shank into the hitch. Well line up the hitch pinhole. Well then tighten down our anti-rattle bolt.With our bike rack tight, it is now secured to the vehicle. more
